The rule guarantees “promote and guard the essential and unalienable rights of the judgment of right and wrong and non secular liberty.” The law protects health care companies from mandatory participation in and price or referral for services like abortion, sterilization, and assisted suicide, in step with HHS’s statement.
California, Vermont, Washington, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia have “resource in death” laws permitting terminally ill sufferers to commit suicide with a doctor’s help.
