As stated by Daniel Whittle, we see how a minister’s Prayer for health becomes unspoken back – so that God should answer one else’s Prayer!
The Rev. J.B. Waterbury relates numerous incidents that prove the power of Prayer.
“In the year 1832, he turned compelled by way of pulmonary signs to go away from his subject of ministerial hard work in one of the Japanese towns and journey south, hoping that a milder climate might be favorable.
“He had now not proceeded a long way, earlier than cholera, that apprehensive scourge, made its appearance inside the States and obliged him to rejoin his family within the metropolis of Brooklyn.
“While many had been a loss of life around him, his health persisted to enhance; with the disappearance of the epidemic, he found himself sufficiently restored to the project, if Providence ought to open the door, to renew his ministerial work.
“But in which need does he cross? The future, to human view, becomes shrouded in uncertainty. In so crucial a count, affecting his usefulness and happiness, nothing has been left but to provide himself to Prayer. His religion in that promise, ‘In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy Paths,’ led him to wish without ceasing, ‘Lord, what wilt thou have me to do.’”
On a positive day, while the load lay closely upon his heart, he retired as ordinary to implore mild and steerage. He read on that occasion the chapter of Acts wherein, by way of divine path, Cornelius the Centurion sent messengers to Peter at Joppa to return to him with the Gospel. In the meantime, the apostle is instructed to use an imaginative and prescient to visit Cornelius.
The case became so applicable to the occasions that the writer cried mightily to God for mild to be also shed upon his direction.
While thus praying, the doorbell rang, and the servant introduced guys who wished to peer me.
This was relatively startling. After introducing themselves, they remarked that they had come on a critical errand: to ask my services for a vacant church in which they had been officials.
“But how is this,” I inquired, “How did you recognize me?”
They did now, not until that very day. But inquiring on the Bible House in Nassau Street if any of the officers of that Society knew of a minister who might be recommended to fill their pulpit, now vacant for some months.
Dr B., the Secretary, answered, “Yes, I understand a young minister in Brooklyn, whom I can endorse, supplied his health, which has been sensitive, is ok.”
So the messenger got here inadvertently over to B—-, and I became known as from my knees to get hold of their invitation. I promptly replied, “Yes, I will cross?” for what was it that I could resist God? A successful and glad ministry of fourteen years attests to the coolest results of that choice. Keep a log of how many hours you work each week and submit it to pay your new client. Owning your creative errand service has many benefits, and helping new clients with their special needs is one of them. Creating an income from home and using your talents is most rewarding.
